Mint is derived from Ubuntu which is derived from Debian, why not use that? Better yet, use Artix with Palemoon for the most chuddy set-up imaginable.
Good mornings saars!go to windows 11
There is also Linux Mint Debian Edition doe.Mint is derived from Ubuntu which is derived from Debian, why not use that? Better yet, use Artix with Palemoon for the most chuddy set-up imaginable.
they're gonna make that harder nowUse Win 11 but bypass the account creation, its the same thing more or less.
If Windows 7 gets a back-ported 10 kernel, I'd drop everything else for it in a heart-beat. VxKex is really iffy.Moving to Windows 7
macOS is technically the last mainstream (as in, not fucking HP-UX or something) genuine UNIX out there albeit its kinda cool for thatMac is for the tech illiterate
While that is true, Mac has been completely stupefied and modern gnu+linux is unix compatible.macOS is technically the last mainstream (as in, not fucking HP-UX or something) genuine UNIX out there albeit its kinda cool for that
Isn't it based off of Darwin, which is based off of FreeBSD? I can recall that they pay a license to be considered genuine UNIX. I mean actual UNIX, derived from original AT&T code.macOS is technically the last mainstream (as in, not fucking HP-UX or something) genuine UNIX out there albeit its kinda cool for that
Yeah they stopped releasing the Darwin stuff regularly a while ago, first they stopped with ISOs and now they're pretty bad at even just the raw source code. There were some projects in the 00s to turn Darwin into a usable OS but they never got anywhere. While that is true, Mac has been completely stupefied and modern gnu+linux is unix compatible.
I can't say for certain since I frankly don't know shit about macOS' internals, but the FreeBSD stuff is limited to the userland components iirc. The kernel is Mach and not the FreeBSD one. In fact even early Windows NT used some BSD components (or reimplementations) for the networking stuff.Isn't it based off of Darwin, which is based off of FreeBSD?
