Fitness & Calorie Counting

I eat around 4000 calories a day and frequently lift. I won't be posting physique for privacy reasons or whatever but I'm an average looking guy.
Yesterday I spent most of the day with family so I couldn't really eat enough. (Only had about 2700 calories that day) so now I have to make up for it by eating extra today by eating 5300 cals. The gym was closed for Easter Sunday as well, which was quite a shame, so I had to do a home back day.
I've thought of gradually increasing my caloric intake until I can regularly eat 5000 calories a day, but 4000 seems to be a good and realistic mark for me at the moment.
4/20/2025 - Technically almost done but I gotta make up for yesterday so I still need to eat a bit more.

No progress so far as I can tell, looks like I'm gonna be stuck at 180 for a bit like how I was at 170.
Here's a picture. Minor progress, but I’m sure things will look up soon enough. The dual enrollment semester ends Monday, meaning I have to do something at the high school to keep myself occupied and to recover some credits I didn’t get when I failed a class of mine freshman year.
I’m getting chubbier. Not good but I’m gonna cut down fairly soon. I can’t believe I’ve been attempting to gain weight for literal years and have only now made proper steps towards 200lbs. I’m gonna see where I am at 190lbs.

Here’s an overview of the week.

Sometimes I forget to categorize my meals into Breakfast Lunch and Dinner, lol

You aren't gaining weight because of your high metabolism. Mine is the same way. The only hope for gaining weight for you and I is either slowing your metabolism through methods I cannot recommend to kids, or for you to gain muscle. Consuming more calories just means more of it will be converted to fat and you will have a dump of all your excess fat each morning when you wake up (greasey shits). You are blessed with eternal high-schooler body and many endomorphs will be forever jealous of you so you might as well make use of that blessing.

I’ve always had a fairly high metabolism. Eating more has helped put weight on my frame but it takes a lot of late nights of shoving whatever’s in the fridge down my throat and hoping I can reach my daily calorie goal. I originally intended to eat around 5000 a day but trying it for a week made me realize it was an unrealistic expectation so I opted for 4000-ish instead. By the time I get the physique I want I’ll probably be out of high school.

Unless you are doing strenuous activity each day to the point you are exhausted there is no point in eating so many calories. 4000 carlories is your expected intake if you are walking in Afghanistan and rucking through the mountains with 100 pounds of gear on your back; there is nothing you are doing in your day that needs that much energy (check the carloric amount for 3 American MRE's per day). Most of those calories are sliding out your backside and down the sewer. You need to do physical exercise to gain weight as muscle is more dense than fat, and if you are burning it you might as well convert it into muscle than into shit. I recommend cardio as it just makes everything easier.

I got carried away at the family barbecue. Hopefully I don’t make any retarded mistakes like this again cause I ate way more than I should have.

I’m 183lbs now. That’s pretty weird to think about. I’m only 7 pounds away from being 190.

I naturally bulk and cut.
Eat like pig for 1 month
Eat allmost nothing (as in sometimes nothing for an entire day and usually only s single meal) for 1 month
Repeat
It is'nt even something i think about i just go through phases of metabolism?
