He's a versatile class that works in most situations and can beat every other class in a 1v1. Against a hoard at a chokepoint he sucks but that's why good maps have flank routes to harass enemy teams

Like Badwater. The literal worst map for a scout because all you do is watch like a cuck while soldiers and demoman do all the work with their pocket medics

Atleast you can still terrorize the tiny pecker flanks but maps like goldrush is literally designed against scout

Honestly I think hypespam is the only way to actually beat that map. You can just fly above the chokepoint and harass the enemy team IF there are no sentries, but there will be of course

This is the reason why I don't play on community servers
I've played harvest too much and I still want to play that map
