Discussion /sw/ - Star Wars General

I wish I still cared about this franchise the same way I did as a lad. I used to be obsessed with this franchise, like, I didn't care about any other nerdy franchise but this one specifically for the longest time.
It doesn't feel like a geek's paradise anymore; it feels like it was co-opted by non-geeks to service a social agenda that won't matter in ten years.
Short term gain for damaging a franchise in the long term, o algo.

I remember being absolutely obsessed with General Greivous. I had several toys of him and dressed up as him for Halloween 2 or 3 years in a row. I wish we saw George Lucas' planned trilogy, it definitely would've been better than the disney shite.

The sequel trilogy is one of the biggest film disasters in history.
I can't believe how mismanaged it was; and how they thought hiring three different directors with three seperate visions, without ever taking the time to consult George Lucas, was a good idea.
They should've known they were going to but heads, they should've known they were going to override each other's vision, they should've known so many things.
They didn't even have a basic plot outline for how the story was to unfold because Kathleen Kennedy doesn't believe that "Star Wars has source material", completely and deliberately ignoring all the material that exists, both past and present, apart of the expanded universe.

kathleen the old hag whore is fired btw.

andor was good from what i heard
Andor went from being an underdog to being the hottest shit in like no time, I'm kinda shocked.
I think people oversell it because they've been fed shit for so long, so to have something actually compelling with what I can assume to be well written dialogue and character interactions is a like a breath of a fresh air, a diamond in a vast sea of diarrhea.
It also goes to show that Disney 100% hasn't quality control; one team can be working on Andor while the next can be working on something like Acolyte.
Now dave filoni is in charge, nor sure if he is good or not.
Dave Filoni was Lucas's wingman on Clone Wars, so people assume him to be the closest thing to George that isn't George or like a spiritual successor to him.

Don't lose hope, hope is the main theme of Star Wars lol.

Did you go to galaxy's edge or plan on visiting?

revenge of the sith is the best movie.
I will disagree with you, but it's the second best. The best star wars film is empire strikes back in my opinion, but the reason why i love star wars because it's a fantasy that gives a childlike dream or innocence it had, like when i was younger i would pretend to be luke skywalker or anakin and play with my toy lightsaber. I wish Star Wars had that energy to it.

Doesn't matter. The damage has been done, and she gets to walk away with her pride and ego intact.
Ironic, for a Feminist, she sure thinks and acts like a man would in her situation.
