This is one of the most lyrically sincere and honest songs of the the mid-sixties. It's such a lush, floaty, and beautiful track.
Cass Elliot (One of the two Mamas in the Mamas and the Papas) did a cover of this track and it was just as good as the original.
I often prefer the demo version of the track as it's a tad slower and feels more intimiate.
Half a year ago I was listening to the cassette "Violator" by Depeche Mode. After "Enjoy the silence" there was some kind of an extension to the song.
Today I wanted to listen to that album again but my new car doesn't have a cassette radio so I opened it on youtube. To my dismay the song was not extended.
I made a spotify account just to check it and they've the full version. Youtube music has the full version too. I assume apple music is fine too.
Sure there probably is a full version somewhere on youtube but if you search for the song you get the cucked one by deafult. This is retarded. I am retarded for using youtube for music too but I never though I would run into such an issue.
