Because the majority doesn't see it as a bad thing, there's no need to speak out against it unless "you're just a hater," and if it were seen as a bad thing, bad publicity is still publicity regardless of the connotation.

They consider it more of a loose "homage" than plagiarism.
Music production as a whole has also gotten a lot lazier within the past ten or twenty or so years because of genres like "bedroom pop" or sound trends like "lo-fi."
I'm not just saying that; listen to an album like Gorillaz's Demon Days from nearly twenty years ago. It still sounds modern today, and the audio quality is so darn crisp. Compare that to shit like the aforementioned, and that's going to age like milk.

Movie itself is alright but I hate the songs, they get stuck in your head in a bad way. The only one I can tolerate is Do You Wanna Build a Snowman because it's obviously humorous in nature.
