June 22nd, 2025: Sunday today, I woke up at 1:55am in the morning because I just couldn’t bear the heat in my room, no matter what temperature I set my AC unit at, it never reached my room even with James’ box fan. So I decided to just take my blanket and one of my pillows into the living room and slept on the couch next to the AC. I drifted off to sleep. I woke up at 6:50am even though I set my alarm for 6:00am sharp. I got up and finished off my cereal but didn’t have time to brew some coffee so I just caught the bus to work. I got in and the first thing I did was brew some coffee in the Keurig machine in the office. After starting on the coffee I went downstairs to check on my task list, it was the usual so I just went to the breakroom for a bit until I had to clock in at 8:24am. I then got started on my first task which was to stock the beverage cooler, it took me quite a while because one of the things which held the item tags broke and wouldn’t stay on any longer. While I was doing a different portion of the beverage cooler, I accidentally opened an aluminum can and it started leaking. I instantly rushed to the back and emptied it, I went back and saw a gallon of milk was expired and then went back to mark that down and dump it out because it was way too old for me to take home and drink. I noticed that fAsherah had styled her hair up with a blue pinwheel. I snuck up on her and blew on the pinwheel to turn it, she turned around and laughed.
“Why do you have that in your hair?”
I asked fAsherah.
“Because I found it and I didn’t have anything else to style up my hair.”
I went on break and bought some vanilla wafers to eat and ate them all. When I got off of my break I had to stock half of the store, I went up to Jesse to ask him how to use the new item scanner and he just told me:
“You’re gonna have to do it old fashioned with pen and paper.”
I had so much despair in me, I hated going back to that method. But I did it regardless. I took some paper and a clipboard to go around writing down all the stuff that I needed. Dodging all the people in the place. I got my list done and then brought a plastic pallet into the warehouse before going on lunch. I had to wait quite a bit to get my order in from Biker because it was so crowded. But I got my tomato salad with an Arizona iced tea and some sea salt flavored chips. I went and ate my stuff up in the office because I needed to cool down there. When I got back I got the pull downstairs and struggled to stock it due to how crowded it was. I remember this one woman with a super tiny skull who was wearing a black sundress and a white hat with an extremely wide brim constantly getting in my way. I got it all stocked and then noticed that fAsherah had taken the pinwheel out of her hair, turns out it kept falling out. One of my next tasks was to vacuum the offices upstairs and that was actually far better since they were all air conditioned. I even had to go into this office that is usually locked because only one person ever uses it. I got the key to get in and saw this sign which said Macrodata Refinement in the room, even though an Optics and Design sign would have fit way more. I continued with my work stuff and I overheard Paula talking about how weird the new song selection was, she said she heard a weird cover of Toto’s Africa. After my second break, I saw Old Ozzy Osborne talking to fAsherah and then I went up to her to say:
“Looks like someone was talking with their favorite customer?”
She then spoke:
“Oh my God, speaking of Old Ozzy Osbone, yesterday I saw Tiffany flirting with him, like dude he’s way older than you.”
I thought this was hilarious but I remembered that Tiffany wasn’t here yesterday.
“Tiffany wasn’t scheduled yesterday.”
She then corrected herself:
“Wait no this was earlier this week!”
I didn’t have any deliveries to run on with Anne, both were small and were 30 minute drives there. But I started on my closing tasks slightly early, me and Hill coordinated to do all of them, around this time a woman came in wearing a bikini and a beach skirt, I don’t really know what they’re called but while I was cleaning the store floor she thanked me and I got kind of panicked, I eventually went outside and I saw the scrunched face lady, she was drinking diet Coke and on a call with someone, she was super nice. There was this other guy that randomly told me:
“Did ya hear, the Thunders beat the Pacers!”
I remembered the names but not much else. I finally clocked out and then hopped on the bus to go to the earlier mass. I was walking there wearing my Queen t-shirt, dark grey dress pants, and my Pentecost medallion, I had a gay Black guy shout out of the window of his car:
“Can I get your number?”
I ignored the f*****. I got into the church while they were busy with something beforehand. I waited outside when I saw someone that looked familiar, turns out it was Staples, I asked her why she was going to mass now, she said that she just got back from being a maid of honor at her friend’s wedding, she was super sweaty like a lot of people, eventually we went in and she just sat in the middle while I sat in the front. The young priest was serving for mass, I have finally decided on a name for him, Palmer. I didn’t feel emotionally good for the mass. I didn’t see the Daeguite for the mass but when I went out, I talked to Palmer and thanked him for the mass, I held the door open for Staples but she just gave me a simple:
“Thanks!”
I didn’t feel good. I went over to the grocery store to buy more cereal and a 12 pack of cream soda. I then took the bus home and got inside, I finished up my blog entry for yesterday when I decided to put some soda in James’ fridge in his room,
I opened it to find there was mold growing in it and a bunch of water along with the soda. I grabbed some sanitizing wipes and rags to wipe it up and clean it out, when I got done with that I decided it would be for the better to keep it open so the mold won’t grow, keeping it plugged in would just result in a higher electricity bill for me. It got late so I took a shower and talked with Macie a bit:
<Im taking a class to learn how to climb them
>When did you become obsessed with climbing?
<My boyfriends sister took me one time, and I really liked it
<So I started going rock climbing with a friend who was into it, and then I roped another friend into it
<And I just really love it as a form of exercise
<When I saw that my cities rec department was hosting this, I thought it would be fun
>Ooh, you have a boyfriend? I kind of got back into it when my cousin’s husband took me.
<Yeah, have been having a bf
>Since when?
I decided to text Mercurius to revive the plans about going to the book store:
>Do you think we can go to the bookstore sometime this week?
>Monday or Tuesday?
He replied:
<Tuesday
<I’m done with that one cleaning job
<So I’m free Tuesday
<And I need some books
I also asked the priest at the center if Mercurius talked to him about the St. Nazianz trip:
>Did Mercurius ever talk to you about a men’s retreat up in St. Nazianz? He mentioned to me that he wanted to ask you about it.
<No I know he went up there himself
I was done, by the way I’m still mad at Asherah, so I’ll say that she’s from Scott, but I won’t dox her fully. And so to bed.
