Is AI a fad?

Ai reduces the workload which means that shorter work days are practically possible. Just like tractors made abolishing slavery possible in practice by reducing the workload on farms.
Productivity has increased a thousand fold since the days of industrial revolution factory work, yet we still work the same hours and arguably do more laborious work in some instances. They will always find work for people to do. They will do anything they can to prevent people from having free time, because then they'll realize how good it is to do nothing, and they'll not want to work.

I made that post to bait niggnin into a bad faith debate about dialectical materialism. I don’t actually think that.

I doubt it. Maybe it was a tossup a year or 2 ago but it seems like AI will quickly replace standard search engines and then other things over time

i would like to say that people will stop using it for everything and give it certain jobs but the internet of SHIT doesnt look like its stopping anytime soon so probably not
however if youre talking about art then im sure itll end up in the same situation cgi and motion capture are being used today where they have their own uses and wont be replacing anything anytime soon
