I had a photography class in high school and liked it quite a lot. We used Canon T7s I believe, but as a poorfaggot retard I don't have money for one of those.
Someone recommended me a Nikon D200 and it seems to fit the bill for the most part. I've heard that it's not exactly the best in low-light situations, but that shouldn't bother me since I'm mostly going to be doing outdoor shots during the day. More specifically, I'm planning on driving around to various agricultural sites that offer tours (it's a big thing now in ag) and taking pictures of whatever I can find, whether it's landscapes/animals/machinery. My parents have been telling me I need to get a hobby that goes beyond just shitposting all day, so this is what I came up with.
For reference my budget is about $350 US for everything, and I don't expect to be paid for what I'm doing (obviously).
Is this a good idea? And are there better alternatives as far as cameras go?

i took a photography class in my first semester of my senior year.

the teacher was chunky and sounded zesty, but he had a wife. anyway, out of nowhere, he vanished from our class. we thought he was sick or he was on vacation. as it turns out, he has been trying to get with a student photographer.

we had a new teacher and she's nice and very cooperative with us until i was switched out from that class by obsessed counselors.

Look at Nikon's and Panasonic's line of mirrorless cameras. They have the same lens compatibility as the DSLRs and are smaller and lighter. I hate to say it but the only advantage a DSLR has anymore is in battery life, mirrorless even dominates in full frame 35mm sensor cameras (not recommending full frame).

How does that answer his question, buck?
