if you were to draw a furry character in let’s say, jim davis’s artstyle, it’ll look like an autist from deviantart did it because jim davis’s artstyle is incredibly unique in how it’s drawn. it’s incredibly complex yet simplistic.

these 2 pieces of art should in theory look similar, but in your brain they just don’t look similar. same clean lineart, same bulging eyes, perhaps you might even say same anatomy. but they’re just not the same.

you might say that the one at the top has more charm and soul than the one at the bottom, because obviously the one at the top a little kid drew it, but i just don’t see it frankly.

what i’m saying is that soygoy’s art is shit and he should really learn to do backgrounds properly because he makes them look like it’s the same as the foreground and it really messes with the perception in my opinion

he’s still better at me in digital art though
