remember that guidelines shouldn’t be used in the sense of a catch all stencil for arms, and more so to help suggest how you build the forms of the arm - similar to how the loomis method shouldn’t be a rigid formula to create heads and more so a mechanism to help visualize how the structure of the head exists in space

Yeah I guess it's better.
Can't believe I used to manually draw the muscles like a dumbass, no wonder my arms looked like shit.

On an unrelated note I wanted to know, how can one replicate such colouring?
@snuffereet I don't know if you're very experienced in this type of stuff but it has been bugging me for a while and I still haven't found the solution to achieve this.

Like the low saturation color contrast? That’s a neat color theory trick - lower saturation colors will appear closer to the surrounding saturated color’s compliment - so something primarily red will have a blue tint when painting with a more desaturated red

That and also the way it is textured, I tried to replicate it but it just ended mushy looking and just not at all what I tried to remake.
Attempt below.

These people use TONS of different brushes when drawing, try using big, painterly brush strokes with an emphasis on movement rather than filling the space and I think things would work out in your favor
