Serious WW2 Veterans

I am in one of the few places where being a WW2 vet is seen negativly.
If you went to hide in the forest or shot yourself in the foot then you are based as fuck but if you laid down and let the fackin anglo recruiters draft you then you are a traitor to Quebec.

i met a brazilian veteran once.
I've met a veteran from the first indochina war and algerian war while i was at paris. Isnt ww2 related but i thought it'll be cool. he was wearing a lizard camo that the french used and is really old.

A brother of my grandfather served as a paratrooper in France in one of the highest-casualty divisions of the invasion. He never spoke about it and died rather before I was born or while I was an infant, I'm pretty sure.
Was he a 101st giga?
