Someone who is 79 years old today would've been born in 1946, a year after the war ended.

A brother of my grandfather served as a paratrooper in France in one of the highest-casualty divisions of the invasion. He never spoke about it and died rather before I was born or while I was an infant, I'm pretty sure.
