Also there are reasons to make the switch. Ultimately, many people on the Schlog wanted a fresh restart and Shroot's vision coincides with what the website wanted to be. There's a reason that towards the end I distanced myself. It wasn't because of a sale or because of any ridiculous drama, but rather it was because everything there had already become stale and ruined by people who I personally disliked and wanted gone before they ruined the website (Meursault). I think there should be a system in place that allows people to host votebans where if there's a 75 percent or higher majority, the user gets banned by community decision.

Let me say a few things clear...

when I was introduced to the schlog by a certain friend from a certain community via the 'cord, at the time, I only knew about the sharty and soybooru, I just didn't know at the time there was a soyjak forum, but when I signed up, I originally got banned for being underaged (because of the bullshit 18+ rule that was there at the time) and then I got falsely banned a few times by the goddamn thrembolone because he's a retard for not understanding me enough, and over the course of a few months, i met some friends like terrorbyte, soyteen liker (despite everyone else hating her at the moment), etc, but also I started to understand why froot is a piece of shit... he can't properly run a server, but still, i still witnessed some pretty intresting events like the Race War and DOLL's message from Jimbo's account for example, but sadly all good things must come to end thanks to the orange italian brappa, fuck you froot!

I think there should be a system in place that allows people to host votebans where if there's a 75 percent or higher majority, the user gets banned by community decision.

this is actually a good idea, most unlikable users end up doing fucked up shit later on so a way to exile them like this would be convenient

I think a way to steer around this would be for jannies to nominate people to be votebanned. If the person is a homosexual or is just generally disliked or annoying, they should be eligible for a voteban.

One on hand, this sounds like it'll turn the site into a hivemind circlejerk.
On the other, I understand the sentiment as there are people who genuinely contribute absolutely nothing to the site (*cough Basil *cough) so I understand since irl you can ostracize people from your group for being annoying, so it makes sense to do it online as well

votebans generally don't work and it doesn't really prevent them from inviting their cord sistas to vote against getting banned
