Itt we produce chickens that eat their own eggs in factory

My family recently stopped feeding our chickens leftover egg-shells mixed with the slop as it supposedly causes them to eventually become accustomed to their own eggs. If that's to be believed, this shouldn't be a hard process whatsoever, the issue is buying a factory.
