Is AI a fad?

Recreational ai use is probably a fad, but chatbots will continue being used by programmers, and obviously ai will continue being used for research and screening in the medical field.

i think the current AI trend is just the beginning stages of it being fully integrated into our lives. we already talk to AI daily (most support lines on websites are AI), so i think we'll continue to see it used in more and more things. we're on the precipice to an AI revolution i feel like.

why do you think recreational use is a fad? I think it'll exist as long as there are lonely people much like vtubers and all that shit

No way in hell, it's here to stay. What's true is that the hype will die down at some point when it becomes just another piece of technology like mobile phones and sheit.

Semi-unrelated but the AI overview shit on Google really makes me sad for some reason, you literally can't disable it and I'm assuming Google just thinks people are too retarded to gather information themselves nowadays. I've never used AI except to double-check conclusions I've already made myself, whether it was for school or a personal thing.

Ai reduces the workload which means that shorter work days are practically possible. Just like tractors made abolishing slavery possible in practice by reducing the workload on farms.
The first tractors were made in the early 1900s i think, that was back when the world maybe had 2 billion people at most. It's a different climate now, you have AI and infinite shitjeets.
