how exactly does the ddos work

im guessing they're just doing generic http flooding
 
Think of it like this. If the site is a train station and the users are the passengers, a DDOS attack is like if i showed up with 2 million indians and bought every seat in all of the trains so no actual passengers can get where they wanna go.

A ddos is a distributed denial of service. Basically the distributed part is what makes ddoses so potent. Several pajeet ips attack your servers all at once to the point your server can't keep up and starts lagging or crashes. This happens because said pajeet ips belong to retarded people who had their computers or devices hijacked and are used for a botnet
 
You just pay btc to some Russian to use his botnet.
