How are you doing?

I have a bunch of schoolwork to do before this week is over, I've caught a damn awful cold as of today, and many of my friends are beginning to leave for college (as the majority of them are seniors) now that the school year's coming to an end, so I'm honestly not doing too great, but mortal existence will always pile struggles on the living, and so none of these meager things are deserving of griping or moping. The escapes I have, of prayer and of a night's rest, are enough for me to find some sort of joy in the midst of these misfortunes.

Man, I got a lot of schoolwork to do to, its the penultimate week for me before the semester is over so I have a lot of shit to do. I can't wait for it to be done tbh.

I've been counting fewer and fewer blessings these past few days. This week ain't giving me a damn break.
>still suffering from an illness that has left me stuck inside for almost the entirety of the day with painful coughs and sneezes
>illness has caused me to miss the final school choir event of this year, meaning that i missed the chance to see a lot of my pals in choir for the last time before they go to college
>also missed one of the last times that i'll get to see my ex-girlfriend before she graduates as well at the end of next week
>additionally missed a bunch of deadlines that are all most likely going to tank my grades
>cut my shin badly on a sharp twig that was sticking up out of the grass in my yard while I was taking the dog out, had to patch that up and it's still hurting a bit
>and to wrap it all up i got a text an hour ago from a friend who has told me that she broke her pelvis in a car accident last night (pray for her)
