So, the majority of you here all have spergy interests that keep you preoccupied or that you'll occasionally sperg about on the forum, usually when prompted.
That's good and all, but I want for a moment to express sincere enjoyment for a long-awaited, highly anticipated comeback of a band I really, really enjoy.
The band's activity sparked earlier this February when they posted a stop-motion short skit about "A Bent Bed Hat" to their social media, which is an anagram for The Beta Band, and nearly a month and three days later, a video was uploaded to their official Youtube showcasing a line of dates for live venues, both in the US and UK.
Most of these dates are to occur between September and October, with a further deluxe DOUBLE vinyl reissue of their acclaimed compilation album, The Three E.P.s, popularized by its track "Dry the Rain," which was featured in the 2000 film, High Fidelity, starring John Cusack and Jack Black as casual record store employees and amateur music geeks.
There's likely also going to be a vinyl reissue for their third and last studio album, Heroes to Zeroes, which was released within the same year the band broke up. It was a self-produced effort and mixed by Nigel Godrich, famous for being the main producer of Radiohead since OK Computer.
It'll have been 28 years this year since The Three E.P.s was released and 21 years since Heroes to Zeroes, which was almost in time for the twenty-year reissue, which I was actually saddened by the lack of hubbub surrounding it, aside from two retrospective reviews on the album, although now is a perfect time to kick things back into gear.
There may or may not be new material planned, in which case I'm excited for it. I'm just glad that the holy grail of UK music has finally reunited after a long "indefinite" hiatus.

If you have any thoughts regarding this band, whether that be a favorite track, an anecdote, or anything, please share. I'd like to hear from your perspective about them, good or bad and anywhere, everywhere in-between.
