as retarded as i am, i've always been virulently against that content. dont understand how people watch it nonstop for hours. it's just dumb 99% of the time and you're not learning anything. when i was a kid i just skimmed over wikipedia articles as my form of slop consumption. also most shorts are very obnoxious, fine-tuned for adhd mulatto retarded children.
i use newpipe on my phone and have recommendations turned off on pc so the feature doesnt work geg

when i used to use the official mobile jewtube app, it would start on the shorts page after tapping the icon every once in a while. but of course it didnt even work geg cuz i disabled it. i swear im not schizo, 1/20 times it'd try to play shorts
 
Yea, I use the Unhook and BlockTube extensions to get rid of them. There are also options on ReVanced to fully block them. I'd go back to NewPipe if I could get a blocker for specific channels, videos, and keywords.
 
Nowadays maybe once a week i'l find myself watching from 4 to 12 on instagram. But at one point of my life i used to spend my entire evening doomscrolling.
I can tell you something doe and that is that instagram reels are for the most part very chuddy, i don't know how it got this way either. Maybe at one point one guy began saying nigger and after everyone followed suit Facebook realized they couldn't just ban everyone so they folded and let chuds have their own app.
