honestly atleast weed does something. tobacco just kills you quick. id rather not be addicted or do either of the two, but atleast weed doesnt kill you that quick
That's true. Addictions are replaced. An addiction to tobacco or especially alcohol are better off replaced with weed or video games. Best thing is to replace addiction to substances with addiction to productive things. Those aren't usually called addictions but they are functionally compatible

Are they really that different? It's not the nicotine itself that kills you while smoking.

Niggatine is more addictive than thc, it's vigorously addictive to the point that smoking just a few cigarettes or hitting a vape for just a few days can get you dependent. Cigarettes are not really go-to anymore because of their various byproducts and harm, but vapes, whether nicotine or weed, aren't good either. The means by which they work is slightly different and in weed's favor, but the regularity of use between weed and nicotine users are the real difference. Weed is quite harder to become dependent on. That's if we are talking about vapes. Things like zyn or gummies are way less harmful overall, to the point that your daily consumptions of processed foods are about as bad. However, being addicted to anything at all is bad.

Addictions aren’t always “replaced” you fucking retard. You sound insanely mentally stunted. Not everything is an addiction, does mowing grass for your day job count as an addiction because you do it 8 hours a day? Yeah didn’t think so, you sound dumb as fuck.

Addictions are always replaced. Your job can be an addiction but isn't always one. If you find a lot of comfort and relief in doing your job, to the point that it distracts you from other desires or tasks. For example. You might love mowing grass so much that you lose the desire to smoke on the job. And when you go home for the night, you can't wait to start the next day at work, and you feel depressed after having been fired, not because of the money, but because you won't be able to spend your time in the fields anymore. That would be an "addiction". Once again, it's not the traditional view of an addiction, but it works the same way
